Vampy Lips ♦

Hi my lovely angels! Happy Friday! Woo… I have the day off work today too so have a nice long weekend! Have any of you picked up any Black Friday deals? I am very tempted by so many of the online sales, such as Boohoo, Misguided and Asos… I can’t go crazy though … as I AM GETTING MY NEW CAR ON MONDAY.. so need to be wise with my spending.

Anyway … lets talk about this outfit shall we!?… This is from the weekend, where we actually had a little bit of snow (!!!).. so you will be able to see the slightest amount in these photos!

Checked shirtClose UpLayered OOTD

Now my lovelies.. some of you may actually remember this top from one of my first outfit of the days, linked HERE... I LOVE it so much. Funnily enough, this outfit is actually a direct contrast to the one from my earlier post.. I also seem to have the same pose HA! (see image below!)SAM_0824ootd

Tehehehe…. It is funny how differant it actually is … the darker lips/black trousers/layers. It just goes to show how versatile this t-shirt is and how you really can switch up the whole look by just adjusting a few bits, including your makeup.

Speaking of make-up… LOOK whose rocking a darker lip guys!! Are you proud of me? I have definitely become more confident in wearing darker lipsticks, and am building up a nice collection of them too (Have a read of my previous post here to see which ones I picked up!

Right ladies onto the actual outfit details … The t-shirt is a FIRM FAVORITE of mine, picked up from a market in the summer…I have found a link on eBay if you want to buy it though. On top of that I wore a long, sleeveless plaid shirt to add something to the outfit, and then added my over-sized blazer on top to keep warm! My favourite part of this outfit has to be the jeggings .. which I picked up from H&M for £14.99!! They are gorgeous and add so much to an outfit .. I definitely recommend them highly for all you girlies who love your black jeggings! I wore my black boots (obviously) and a black, glittery hijab.

T-shirt – Market

Plaid Shirt – Forever 21

Blazer – New Look

Jeggings – H&M

Boots – New Look

Hijab – Mum’s Wardrobe

My makeup consisted of my usual winged liner, but this time I paired it with a darker lip. I wore Rimmel 107 at first, then layered over Rimmel Dark Night Waterl-oops, which resulted in this beautiful, vampy lip! I highly recommend this combination girlies .. you will LOVE it!

Vamp OOTDVamp

So that’s my outfit details then lovelies… I love the layered, casual look it has … It also shows how versatile plain, over-sized t-shirts are! I think this outfit would also be perfect for college/university .. just pair with some Converse for an even more comfortable outfit!

Anyways .. little bit of a catch up! I have had a usual busy week at work… and am glad to have a 3 day weekend! Last weekend I actually went to the Leeds German Christmas Market .. which was amazing but SO busy! I really want to go to the Manchester one too… maybe also travel down to London for Winter Wonderland :P. I also received the cutest phone case EVER from Coconut Lane which I will feature in my next post!

In the mean time .. you can use the code glitterglass20 to get 20% off anything online!

Anyways my darlings.. that is all for today’s post .. I will see you in my next one!

Lots of love,

Saira xo♥

I Love Makeup Revolution!

Hello my lovelies!

Hope you have all had an amazing week! What have you been up to? Have you been at work/school or working from home? Whatever you have gotten up to, I hope you have enjoyed it! As usual I have been at work… I have Friday off though so WOOP for 3 day weekends! I am also working from home on Monday because MY NEW CAR IS GETTING DELIVERED! I literally CANNOT WAIT! I have never had a brand new car, and this one has all sorts of nifty features which I have never had the pleasure of having before(Sat Nav, iPod dock, HEATED SEATS!). I am so excited guys!

Anyway… this week has been busy as usual at work.. which I love!  The rest of my time has been spent blogging, relaxing and sleeping :).

So my loves, on the weekend early on Sunday, I went into town to pick up some bits. I popped into Superdrug and came across the stand for Makeup Revolution. Now.. I have seen a lot of bloggers raving about this brand, from their eyeshadow palettes to their metallic make up brushes! I was drawn to the lipsticks though .. as they were an AMAZING 1 POUND! And even better, they were on 3 for 2! I thought I would have a quick look and swatch of the lipsticks.. to be completely honest I really wasn’t expecting much from them. However I swatched them and was so surprised at how pigmented and bright they were! I thought why not buy them? I would be getting 2 lipsticks and a blusher (which was also £1) for £2…. and if I didn’t love them .. I hadn’t broken the bank buying them! So off I went with 2 lipsticks and a blusher in hand, not really expecting much.

Wow… was I wrong.

LipstickI will start from the beginning… I am absolutely loving dark lips for winter, so I tried the darker one first. It looked almost BLACK on my lips .. to be fair I was slightly disheartened because it looked so beautiful swatched on my hand. However, I did a little bit of experimenting. I tried this lipstick on top of my Rimmel 107 .. and oh my goodness. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL SHADE! It is so vampy and perfect for autumn! It actually remained that colour for a few HOURS!! I thought because they have a slight sheen, it wouldn’t last very long.. but this little baby has some excellent staying power!! I also LOVE the name (100% Vamp). You cannot go wrong at £1… I will definitely be going back to get some more.. they are AMAZING! The other colour I got was “Rebel with Cause”.. Now this one I LOVED straight away .. the colour looks absolutely stunning on the lips (on its own)! It is quite a purple/maroon shade … although it does look quite pinky in the photos! It also lasted for hours on my lips, did not dry them at ALL, and was so creamy! Highly recommend them girlies!

Left: 100% Vamp                                                                  Right: Rebel With Cause

   Middle: Blusher in WOW

Both lipsticks also have a beautiful sweet, almost vanilla scent, which is lovely .. as so many cheaper lipsticks have that waxy “cheap lippie” smell which I DO NOT like! I am a fan of the packaging ..It is quite sleek and simple.. also you get slightly more product in the small lid on the top too, which is a cute touch!

Overall .. my thoughts on the lipstick are very positive. They are long lasting, feel great on the lips and smell amazing too! I am trying to think of a negative but I really cannot! I guess the only thing is that I was expecting “100% Vamp” to be a really nice vampy, dark purple on it’s own, however it ended up looking VERY dark. It’s all good though.. As it looks stunning over 107 .. definitely a beautiful combination which you girlies MUST try! The biggest plus is that were a POUND.. I don’t think I will ever get over this!

Here are the swatches.. so you can see how pigmented they are… definitely worth a try!

I also picked up one of their blushers.. as I am a HUGE blush lover .. and this little baby also cost me a WHOLE POUND TOO! It was in the colour WOW, and is a beautiful soft pink shade! It is very pigmented and adds such a lovely flush to the skin .. like the one you have when you have been outside in the cold for a while (perfect for this time of year!) The only downside is the packaging felt slightly weak .. but I guess that is because of the cost of the blusher itself! It really is such good value for money though.. As I have tried other cheaper blushers which are not pigmented at ALL! This is a definite in your make up bag.. especially all you guys who love bargains!

So guys … do definitely check out Make Up Revolution’s line of make up … they are excellent value for money and I have LOVED the products I have tried so far. I will be going back to pick up more lipsticks, as well as seeing other products in their line. I WILL BE BUYING THEIR MAKE UP BRUSHES TOO .. They are STUNNING.. Nothing better than rose gold brushes :P.

Check them out on here .. They have some GREAT Black Friday deals too!

Anyways my lovelies.. that is my post for the day! I hope you enjoyed it .. I am definitely enjoying doing more makeup/beauty related posts… As I want my blog to have a variety! I hope you are enjoying them too … Do let me know girlies!

I just want to thank all you lovely babes who leave me comments/follow my blog/Instagram/Twitter/Blog Lovin … You lot make me smile *hugs*. I am so happy that I started blogging, and it is so exciting to see my little blog growing every day.. I just WISH I was able to spend MORE time on it.. I guess there are never enough hours in the day ey?

So.. I am going to stop rambling angels. Hope you enjoyed this post.. and see you in my next one!

Lots of Love,

Saira xo

Get to know me – Beauty Blogger Tag!

Hey lovelies! I was tagged to do this post by the LOVELY Hayley at Shift My Booty (LOVE HER BLOG NAME!) and Rebecca at Northern Soul Beauty (One of my Northern girlies!). Do check both of their blogs out .. they are absolute BABES and their blogs are amazing too!
So let’s get on with the tag, and hopefully you will enjoy finding out a little bit more about me (Hopefully.. ha!)
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is straight (Boring!).. I have ALWAYS wanted to have curly hair though 😦
2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I haven’t actually dyed my hair for SO LONG (I wear the hijab – haha). When I was younger, I would always go to the salon to get highlights, but it would cost me over £100 each time (eek!), so I started to use box dye, which would do the job really well.. If not better! My favourite back then used to be the Swarzkopf Live Colour XXL, with Directions semi-permanent dye on top (I LOVED having bright red hair when I was younger!).
3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?
I wear a scarf.. So I guess that would be classed as the same style everyday right 😛
4. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
I have mastered doing my make up in 10 minutes for work (I love my sleep too much hehe).. but when I am going out, it does take slightly longer, probably around 20-30 minutes.
5. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
My face ALWAYS .. I don’t think I have ever done my eyes first. I am definitely much more of a good base/bold lip kind of girl .. I hardly every wear a dramatic eye, so I always do my base first and spend the most time on it :).
6. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I never used to collect make up – just buy what I needed. Ever since blogging (you bloggers are a VERY bad influence on my bank balance), I have loved collecting lipsticks and mascaras and trying all the different ones that are recommended 🙂
Untitled design (12)
7. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
NEVER THEY ARE EVIL AND I CAN NEVER GET THEM ON RIGHT. Wow that was slightly dramatic, I have only ever worn them on my prom, wedding and hen night (so VERY special occasions).. and also some Eid days where I manage to get them on. I am so bad at putting them on though, no matter how hard I try. I may practice some more, as they make such a huge difference!
8. What are your current everyday staples?
Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and Rimmel 107 – I could literally just wear these two and be happy :).. (Ok maybe some mascara as I have huge puffy eyes and look poorly if I don’t wear mascara!).
9. Do you wear makeup when you’re home alone or with family?
Nope I don’t really bother if I am not doing anything .. I feel like I am wasting it (Am I the only one who thinks like this :P).
10. How many high-end products do you have?
Does Estee Lauder count as high end? Haha .. If so then one (go me for having bargains!).. Actually, I also have had a few MAC blushers, powders and lipsticks, which were amazing! I would definitely love to have more higher end products though. I have only really started loving make up, so would love to buy more!
11. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you’re getting dressed?
During the week I am at work, so I normally have a quick idea of what I am wearing so I am not faffing around in the morning. I also have a separate work wardrobe, as I have to dress smart… This also helps when planning outfits as everything is in one place. For the weekend, I do like to make more of an effort, so do plan my outfits!
12. How often do you change your handbag?
I used to change my handbag all the time, but would always end up losing stuff! Now I have one work bag, and one weekend bag!
 13. How often or when do you workout?
I used to be SO good at working out, and would work out 3-4 times during the week.. but ever since it has gotten colder, I have stopped (I know I am ashamed!). I did have a good routine.. and I would love to start again!
14. Left handed or right handed?
Right handed!
15. How tall are you?
I am 5 foot .. haha yes I know such a shorty! This is why heeled booties have become my besties 🙂
16. Do you speak any foreign languages?
I speak a slight bit of Urdu … and some French.
17. Sweet or savoury?
I definitely have a sweet tooth! I would much rather eat a box of Krispy Kremes or some cupcakes than a packet of crisps.
18. What’s your favourite perfume?
My all time favourite is Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline .. but recently I have been loving Lancome La Vie Est Belle.. it smells amazing!
19. How many pets do you have?
I have a cat called Cookie, and I ADORE him!
 20. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
I do all the time .. your comments are the best thing ever and I love each and every single one of them!
21. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I keep a mental list .. but have never actually made a physical list!
22. How did you come up with your blog name?
It was one of the first things that came to my mind when I thought about setting up a blog .. I thought it had a nice ring to it, and represented my blog.. which was an insight into my life and the things I love!
23. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
It is an old Samsung one that I got as a birthday present. I am DESPERATE for a new one though!
  24. What’s your favorite color?
At the moment, burgundy! I love it for clothes and lipsticks!
 25. Do you swear?
I used to be HORRIFIC for swearing when I was at school, but now I try my best not to (And think I do quite well too!)
 26. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Probably watch I’m A Celebrity, have a shower and then go to bed!
That is my tag done lovelies ! I tag:
Jasmine at blogsallbeautyy
Rose at loverosiee
Zahra at diaryofadeera
Sophie at essentialtwenty
Hayley at haysparkle
Check out these girlies and their blogs .. they are amazing!
Hope you enjoyed this post darlings!
See you in my next one! Lots of Love,

Guide to: Surviving Christmas Shopping!

Hey darlings♥♥!

Hope you have all had an excellent week… It is the weekend too woo! Now, I have seen so many people start to put Christmas posts up… come on guys it is mid-November now so I think it is acceptable! Now, I know many of you may be thinking about Christmas shopping (and some of you organised lot may have started!)… I thought I would give you all some tips on how you can make Christmas shopping a fun, (almost) stress-free day (or days!) out…. It should be enjoyable right?!

  1. Make a list beforehand: I am the biggest fan of making lists, as they really help you stay organised.. and when it comes to Christmas shopping, they will be a saviour! It is also best to make a list of everyone you are buying gifts for, and what you plan on getting them. That way, you can make sure you do not leave anyone’s gift to the last minute! I think it is an excellent idea to have a “Christmas Diary”, that way you can plan what days you are doing Christmas shopping, and make any other lists/notes you may need .. rather than writing it on scrappy bits of paper/typing on your phone.
  2. Plan your trip: You should put aside a weekend/few days to get your shopping done, so you can get a lot done in one go. I think it is still fun to pop into town for some last minute bits closer to Christmas, but knowing that you have already done the majority of your shopping will make it even more fun! Also, if you work full-time (like me), it may be worth taking a few days off work so you can go during the week.. as I am sure everyone knows weekends are always busier!
  3. GO EARLY!!: I literally cannot stress this enough .. make sure you go early! Especially if you go during the week, the earlier you go the better. The shops will be lovely and organised, as well as it not being as busy! After you are all shopped out, you still have the rest of the day to relax/wrap presents!
  4. Make sure you go to a DECENT shopping centre: This is also so important. It is worth travelling out if there is not a good shopping centre near you, as it is good having a variety of shops to visit. This also saves you having to make multiple trips! I know this from first hand experience .. The main shopping centre near me is RUBBISH! I always go to either Leeds, Manchester or Sheffield for a good shopping trip.. there is SO much more variety, the shops are bigger, and there are also cute individual shops where can find something special!
  5. Go alone: This is vital for at least your main Christmas shop.. It means you can visit the shops YOU need to, take all the time YOU need, and not have to worry about what kids/friends/family want to do or where they want to go. If you do want to make a day of it with a friend/family member, you can travel together, shop for a few hours on your own, have lunch together, then do a few more hours alone, and then meet up after!
  6. Buy heavier/biggest items last/online: Now I think this is a no brainer, not just for Christmas shopping but also normal shopping trips. Buy your bigger/bulkier/heavier gifts last, so you are not battling with them on your way through the shops! Even better, buy them online, or reserve them so you are able to pick them up at a certain time! Christmas shopping is supposed to be FUN, not a sweaty work out! 😛
  7. Buy yourself a treat after!: After you have trawled round the shops for HOURS, carried so many bags that your arms feel like they are going to fall off, it is always nice to have a treat after! So my advice is to pick a little something up for yourself whilst shopping … you deserve it! Whether that is a candle (that you can burn whilst wrapping presents), some bath bombs/bubble bars, or some good old chocolate… go on… you know you want to!
  8. Remember.. ENJOY IT!: Enjoy the Christmas lights/decorations, the atmosphere, and the yummy Christmas treats everywhere! Try not to leave everything to the last minute, and make a day of it! So lovelies, be up nice and early, wear your comfiest shoes, make sure you have your Christmas gift guide all ready, play Christmas songs on the way to the shops .. and HAVE FUN CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!
  9. If all else fails.. there is always online: If you do not like the thought of shopping at all (really?)… you can always shop online!

Happy Shopping!

So there we have it darlings … your guide to stress-free (hopefully!) Christmas shopping! I hope this will help lots of you ready to venture out to the shops to buy your presents! I will see you in my next post!

Lots of Love,

Saira xo

Floods! And Reaching 100 Followers!

Hi my loves! How are you all? I want to start this post by saying the BIGGEST THANK YOU EVER to all you lovely angels that follow my blog! Over the weekend, I reached 100 followers, and I was so happy!!! For some, 100 might not seem like much, but for me, who has only had a blog for a little under 2 months, it is a huge achievement! I love the sweet comments all you lovely lot leave me, and I am so glad that you all enjoy my blog and take the time out of your day to read it! I also love finding new blogs to read, and really love networking with everyone through social media. I am definitely so happy that I started to blog and am very proud of it (It’s like my little baby!), and I look forward to seeing where it will be in the next few months! Again, I just want to thank you all so much .. and please do let me know if there are any specific posts/reviews/tags you want me to do!

Well lets got on with this post then! I have an outfit and update for you all (Woooo!). It is featuring some of the things I showed in one of my previous blog posts.. and I thought it is always best to show how a certain item looks on and also what you can pair it with! Now I actually took these outfit photos over the weekend, when the weather was horrendous! Gale force winds, constant rain.. basically a nightmare to take outfit photos in! I woke up on Sunday morning, my outfit all planned.. but all I could hear was the wind howling and the rain against the windows… Great. Thankfully .. it calmed down in the afternoon for me (yay!). We actually went to a place called Otley for the afternoon .. the original plan was to go to Harrogate, but unfortunately everything was flooded and the roads were blocked! So, we spent an hour or so wandering round a garden centre (which was Christmassy by the way!), then headed over to see the how bad the flooding was (It was VERY bad!).

So.. lets see the outfit photos first (Please mind the murky, grey background guys .. I guess that is British weather for you ey?).

I was attempting to fix my scarf in this picture – Damn you wind!SAM_2453

(By the way .. I know my owl necklace is the wrong way round.. I blame the wind again .. haha)SAM_2458SAM_2448

So lets talk about the outfit first! The jumper and midi skirt were my new purchases from New Look! I am in love with both pieces – they are so comfortable and I personally think the colours go so well together! I also felt so cozy with my fur gilet, warm tights and black boots! Despite the crazy wind and rain, I did manage to keep really warm! I also decided to wear a necklace today (something I do not normally do).. But at one point I was SO obsessed with wearing owl necklaces.. I would never go a day without it! Yay for digging out old favourites 😛SAM_2436SAM_2441

Also.. look how lovely and festive everything in the garden centre looks! Can you believe they also had a Santa’s Grotto already?! It looked so pretty.. I think garden centres at this time of the year are amazing!

To finish off the look, I wore my leopard print scarf, my black satchel, and the much loved 107 lipstick 🙂

Full Outfit Details:

Skirt and Jumper – New Look

Gilet and Boots – Primark

Bag – New Look

Lipstick – 107 Kate Moss by Rimmel

Scarf – Market

Anyways lovelies .. back to the floods! So, we were all set to drive to Harrogate but were stopped by police to say the roads had been closed due to the nearby river bursting (!!). So, we diverted, but got stopped again, as more roads were closed (oh dear!). Eventually, we actually drove to the bridge that the river goes under… Take a look at the pictures below to see how bad the flood got!

SAM_2462SAM_2463I have actually never seen a flood like this in person .. so for me it was quite a shock! I think the people that live in Otley are used to it, as all the kids were riding their bikes through the water (!!). Afterward – we finally managed to find a road that took us home (yay!).. I was glad to be home and get in my pj’s!

So that was my crazy Sunday guys .. I hope you all had a lovely weekend (even though it seems so long ago now!!). This week has just been a busy one at work as usual .. and my evenings are spent relaxing, catching up on your blogs and getting to know you all more too!

I have quite an exciting post coming up next which should hopefully give some of you tips for the upcoming busy festive season! I really hope you enjoy it!

Lots of love,

Saira xo

New Beauty Purchases!

Hiiiiiiiii my little angels!

I have MISSED BLOGGING (IT HAS ONLY BEEN 3 DAYS SINCE MY LAST POST THOUGH WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME)… I was supposed to blog yesterday but we decided last minute to go Sheffield for some shopping and food, and didn’t end up getting home until past 11PM (eek!). As I like to sit down and chill whilst I write my posts, I thought I would leave it for the next morning. And that is exactly what I am doing .. in my PJ’s laying in bed with a candle burning, listening to the wind and rain outside. Whilst I like the weather like this when you are INSIDE (it makes me feel all wintery and cosy).. it is a NIGHTMARE when you go outside (my hijab flying everywhere, makeup getting splashed with rain, shoes getting wet.. Gahh I don’t like it). Funnily enough, I don’t mind going out in just the rain (this is what dear old umbrellas are for), but oh dear when it is wind AND rain (worst combination ever). I am hoping it dies down a little so that I can take some outfit photos (even though I doubt this) .. I will just have to bear the weather hahaa.. It may be funny to see the outfit photos from then :P.

Anyways loves … This post will feature some new beauty purchases I made over the past week. They are all things I have been needing to pick up (plus some extras), so I went to Boots and made use of their 3 for 2 :).

Untitled design (12) So, the first thing is the Soap and Glory Hand Food, in the scent Sugar Crush. The day I found out Soap and Glory had released this was such a happy day for me (sad I know).. I am SUCH a huge lover of their sugar crush scent, and adored the scrub, body butter, shower wash AND body mist they have. I don’t think I will ever stop loving the scent .. If you have not smelt it .. then GO NOW! It smells of lime, brown sugar, marshmallow… It literally is one of my most favourite scents EVER! I also know they do a hand sanitizer, which I will find and buy :P.

Untitled design (14)

Next up, we have a perfume and body spray .. now neither of these are from Boots… The perfume is Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle, which I actually bought my mum for her birthday (but cannot stop using), and the body spray is from Avon. The perfume is in such a beautiful bottle, and smells absolutely amazing! It is sweet (but not overpowering), with some floral notes too. It lasts for SO LONG, and I always get so many compliments when I wear it. It retails between £47-50 if bought off Amazon, but I know Boots have it for £62(!) for the 50ml bottle. It is also an Eau Du Parfum, so that explains why it lasts for ages :). The Avon body spray is in the scent vanilla and sandalwood, and is a nice, sweet scent, perfect for freshening up during the day. It now lives in my handbag (it is the perfect size). I think it cost around £5-£7 mark, so is affordable too! It can be purchased trough the Avon catalogue – there WILL be someone near you who is a rep and can order products for you :).

Untitled design (15)

I also FINALLY picked up a darker, berry toned lipstick (WOOHOO!).. I have been looking for one for absolutely ages, and as of yet, I don’t think my bank account would have forgiven me for purchasing Mac’s Rebel (I need to wait for payday :P). So for now, I picked up this Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in “Dark Night Waterl-Oops” (I LOVE THE NAME). It is such a beautiful colour, and is not too dark (I am still new to darker lipsticks). The only downside is because it is quite shiny, it doesn’t last as long on the lips, and I find I need to keep reapplying. I am thinking to try this lipstick on top of 107, and seeing how that lasts during the day (I can wear 107 for hours and not reapply). On the plus side.. the colour is perfect, it doesn’t try my lips out, and it only cost me £5.99 :).

Untitled design (16) Untitled design (17)

Next we have some lip butters/balms from Nivea. My husband actually bought these from the Pharmacy he works in, as they have gift sets for Christmas time in (bless him). I am such a huge fan of lip balms, and think they are ESSENTIAL when it comes to winter time, and you can never have too many right!? My favourite from the lot HAS to be the vanilla and macadamia lip butter.. oh my it smells HEAVENLY. I also find these are less greasier than the Vaseline lip balms, and feel so much more luxurious on the the lips :D.

Untitled design (18)

I also bought some mascaras, both from Maybelline. One is the “Falsies Volum’ Express” mascara, and the other “Colossal Go Extreme Volume Plus”. I love Maybelline mascaras, and think they are such a bargain for the product you get (£6.99 each!). Both do amazingly well to make my lashes look long, volumzied and dark. I think the Colossal one does a better job at curling them though :).

The last thing I have is the “Get Up and Glow” bronzer, blusher, and highlighter palette from Barry M. Now, I needed to pick up some blusher, as my Seventeen one in “First Kiss” had smashed (boo!), and I had used up the last lot of it. However, I could NOT find the blushers AT ALL in Boots.. I am not sure if they have discontinued them?!.. All I could find were cheek stamps, which I was’t too sure about using. Anyway, I came across this Barry M Palette, and could not pass it up! You get 3 blushes, 1 highlighter, and 1 bronzer. It was an absolute BARGAIN at £6.99 too.. wooo! I never normally use bronzer, blusher and highlighter at the same time (I just usually stick to blusher), but I tried it with this palette, and loved the effect it gave to my skin! It really is worth it as you get everything in one palette, and all the colours are very pigmented and not chalky at all. My favourtie colour for the blush is the bottom left .. it is such a pretty coral/pink colour.. almost an exact dupe for Benefit’s “Coralista”. The highlighter is one of my faves too, as it is not too glittery, and looks very subtle on the skin.

Untitled design (19) Untitled design (20)

So there we have my recent beauty purchases! I am loving every single one of these, and definitely would love to know if any of you have tried them!

I am going to be off now… I think we are heading out for the day to a museum (So will hopefully not be spending too much time outside!).. so will catch up with you all later on Twitter/Instagram/My Blog!

Hope you all have an amazing Sunday lovelies!

Birds in Bolton

Evening loves!

How has your week been? Hope you have had a good one! I have had a busy few days .. and honestly cannot wait for the weekend now.. two days of lazing around in my PJ’s! The past few days I have been at work, and then had a few quick trips to the new shopping centre to pick up some make up items I needed.. Which include a new BERRY TONED lipstick (Yes I finally got one), and the best smelling hand cream 🙂 .. all of which will be blogged about soon!

So this blog post will feature some new items that I showed in my previous post.. the beautiful dress from H&M and the gorgeous brown boots from Primark! Now I actually saw this dress a few weeks back in H&M, and I fell in love instantly.. but they didn’t have my size (boo!). As soon as I saw it this weekend, I grabbed it :D. I had the perfect outfit in my head: featuring the dress, my fur gilet, warm black tights, brown boots/brogues and a navy hijab!

I love how this dress looks on, and the fact that it has long sleeves too, meaning I don’t have to wear a cardigan over, or a long sleeve top underneath :). I have also just been loving wearing my fur gilet over EVERYTHING, so of course this had to be worn :D. I thought I would break the outfit up a little with some brown boots, rather than black. The navy hijab was also perfect with this look, and just tied it all together. I wore Rimmel 107 on my lips, and my usual make up!

I wore this outfit on Sunday .. when we actually went to Bolton for the day! It was just a last minute thing, but we ended up having a lovely time :). We went to a local museum, and then got some food! Now, speaking of food… the amount of crappy food I had this weekend was RIDICULOUS. I am normally good on the weekends, and treat myself to one takeaway, however this weekend I had FOUR takeways (eeeek!). I am having a detox this week though :P.

SAM_2340 SAM_2342 SAM_2345 SAM_2346

The museum was so much fun! It actually had an aquarium and a library in it too :). I love visiting museums in different cities.. I feel like you can learn so much from them… they really are not as boring as some people may think (hehe ;P).. you should try spending an afternoon in one .. you might be surprised :D.SAM_2352 SAM_2354

So there is my outfit for the day.. I am so in love with this dress, and will be going back to H&M to see if they have more prints! It was an absolute bargain at £14.99 too! This outfit is a great Autumn/Winter outfit .. I wore a long sleeved top underneath as I didn’t wear a coat.. so wanted to make sure I stayed warm.

I hope you like this outfit lovelies! Now, I just wanted to update you all on what has been happening with me (I really feel like my blog posts are a diary!).. I am in the process of (hopefully) getting a new car! If all goes well.. I should have it in the next few weeks.. which I am so excited about! Also, I am SO excited for I’m  a Celebrity to start .. please tell me someone else watches this?! I also am loving getting to know so many other bloggers through Twitter chats .. I find them so much fun and think it is such a good way to network! I am also going to be buying a new camera soon .. Mine just about does the job, but it is starting to get unresponsive :(. I said to myself if I am serious about blogging, then I will invest in a new camera.. so will do my research and get some recommendations from all you lovely lot!

I think that is enough of an update .. I just want to thank all you wonderful people for following my blog, taking the time out to read it, and leaving me such lovely comments. I Have A Midi Skirt Obsession

Hi my lovelies!

How are you all? Hope you have all had a wonderful Monday .. whatever you have been up to! I have been at work, then went to Boots after work to pick up some essentials I needed! The weekend already seems like a lifetime away! I had quite a fun weekend.. Spent doing some shopping, eating out (a lot!), and taking a trip to Bolton!

I have been so excited to put this blog post up as I wanted to show you my fashion purchases over the past week. I’ll be honest, I have only recently started purchasing clothes again on a regular basis. A few years ago, when me and my husband first got married, we had quite a tight budget, with only me working full time (the pay wasn’t very good) and him studying full time at University. This obviously meant that I would always think “do I really need this” whenever I saw something I liked. Now, alhumdullillah (which means thankfully), both of us have full time jobs, meaning we have money to put aside, both for saving and spending! I am a huge believer of if you work hard enough, everything will pay off and you WILL get far in life (I always like to remain positive)… and that is what kept me motivated to work hard during those tough times

Anyway… moving on from that little insight in to my life .. lets move on to the items I picked up! So, this is actually from two trips into town .. and my latest trip was to a new shopping centre that has just opened up. I went on Saturday around 1pm (BIG MISTAKE).. it was so busy and took us almost half an hour to actually get in to the car park (eek!). I guess that was my fault for going at time (hehehe).. it was still a successful shopping trip though :D.

Picture 6

I also have developed a huge love for midi skirts recently .. I just love the look they give, and much prefer them to maxi skirts (which have the problem of dragging on the floor too .. not what you want when it starts raining a lot outside!).

Picture 1

I have purchased 3 midi skirts over the last week .. a black, grey and burgundy one. The black and burgundy are from Primark (an absolute STEAL at £6 might I add)… And you can actually see the burgundy one featured in my previous blog post here. I love these so much.. it is worth checking in your local Primark for them too .. they are knitted too which I think looks so stunning at this time of year! The grey one is a recent purchase from New Look (which also cost £14.99).. and is slightly longer too. I love the texture of it .. it is quite thick and warm (which is great for the colder months :D). I can also wear all three to work, as well as at the weekend, which is always a plus! You will be seeing all of these featured in future blog posts guys (this is not the last that you will see of these, hehe).

Picture 2

The next item is this beautiful button up dress from H&M, which I got over the weekend for £14.99. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it.. I adore the bird print on it, and think the colour is so pretty too. I have already taken some outfit photos featuring this dress, so you will see how it looks on very soon (although if you follow me on Instagram, you would have already had a sneak peek :P). Picture 3

Next up .. these beautiful jeggings :D. If you guys know me by now, you know how much I love my black jeggings, and practically live in them! I saw this in H&M for £14.99, and knew I had to have them. They have a “brushed” effect on the front, and also have zips on the top, which I think adds such an edgy look to them. I normally just get plain ones, so this was a nice change.. the lady at the till also said how much she loved them! I cannot wait to wear these and add some more drama to my otherwise plain black and grey outfits! Picture 4

Now this baby may be the biggest bargain I got .. It is a gorgeous camel jumper from New Look which cost me.. wait for it .. £7.99! I was so surprised at the cost, as from New Look I wouldn’t think to find a woolly jumper so cheap. The colour is so on trend, and looks so pretty at this time of year too ..  I will be going back to get the other colours :P.

Picture 5

Last but not least.. I picked up some stunning brown ankle boots from Primark for £13 :). I love them so much as they have fur inside too, which keeps your feet toasty in the winter! They are such a beautiful colour and will match with more or less everything I wear. I love the zip detail on both sides, and the slight heel which is always a plus for us short girlies :D. Primark is so amazing for boots, just remember to get there early whilst everything is tidy and you will actually be able to find your size! I am a size 3 so always struggle to find the right size, but I find that when I go earlier, I am more likely to find the right size :).

Yay! I am SO happy with everything I picked up, and cannot wait to show you how they look in future outfit posts. I really hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening .. I think we are watching a movie tonight, then it is off to bed for work tomorrow!

Have a good night dolls 🙂

A Day Spent in Holmfirth

Happy Saturday loves!

Hope you have all had a lovely week :). Mine, as usual was spent working and blogging! Yesterday (Friday night), we normally have a takeaway night in, but we actually decided to go out for dinner for a change which is always nice! I actually felt so tired after, and ending sleeping as soon as we got home (whoops!), and woke up at around 11:30pm (crazy Friday night I know :P). I then stayed up for a while and caught up on some blogs, then went back to bed! As I am sure you all know, napping at that time is never a good idea – and resulting in me waking up at 5:30am on Saturday morning, not being able to go back to sleep! So here I am… writing a blog post 🙂

So.. this is going to be a fashion/life catch up post – updating you guys on what I got up to last weekend, and showing my outfit! Now, I am the type of person who loves finding new, cute places to explore, and living in Yorkshire, there are definitely plenty of little villages to have a wander round! So, we googled a few places, and drove on!

We actually ended up in a village called Holmfirth, which ended up being SUCH  a beautiful, picturesque place. It had SO many little shops and cafes, and was surrounded by the gorgeous countryside! The first shop we went into was AMAZING! It was hidden in a little corner near the canal, and was a vintage furniture shop (I have already decided that when we buy a house I want to buy ALL of my furniture from there).

SAM_2222 SAM_2223 SAM_2225

I am a lover of all things vintage, so love going in to shops like this, as well as charity shops and boot sales (where you can always find something special!)

We then drove to the actual village of Holmfirth, and had a mooch around the shops there (which I must say were just as amazing!) – and then found the cutest little cafe to have some lunch in!

SAM_2230 SAM_2231

I had a hot chocolate and some homemade crepes, which were SO GOOD. My mum also ordered an amazing platter, which came with 3 bean salsa, hummus, salad and some pitta bread. It was so yummy – I cannot recommend this little cafe enough. The lady that worked there was one of the nicest people I have ever met, and she was so welcoming – I will definitely be visiting it again. The cafe is called “En Route” Cafe – if you are ever around the Holmfirth area, I suggest popping in for a coffee and cake :). At the time, it was also decorated amazingly for Halloween/Autumn, so I can only imagine it will look beautiful around Christmas time :D.

SAM_2258 SAM_2259 SAM_2265 SAM_2267

We then went for a walk around the countryside, a quick drive around the village, before heading back home! It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday – we are going to try and make this a weekly thing, as it is always lovely to venture out into a city/village you have never been and see what it has to offer!

So.. onto the outfit itself.. On Saturday, I had a quick shopping trip, and picked up the most beautiful midi skirts from Primark (I will feature my purchases in my next blog post). I am a huge fan of midi skirts – although a few years back I did not dare wear them as I though I looked like a business women (I blame my age at the time :P). Now that I am slightly older (and wiser, tehehe), I think they are an amazing piece to have in your wardrobe. They definitely add an elegant look to an outfit, but I also will be pairing it with a graphic tee and some converse on casual days!

SAM_2240 SAM_2246 SAM_2247 SAM_2249 SAM_2252 SAM_2281

The skirt is in the most beautiful burgundy shade, and is knitted too! I prefer this so much for the colder months, compared to the standard cotton style. I paired it with my fuzzy jumper which you have seen before (I loved the mix of textures), some black ankle boots, and a patterned hijab. As it got colder later on, I added my over-sized blazer. I wore Rimmel 107 on my lips, and my usual winged liner!

SAM_2279 SAM_2283 SAM_2298

Top – New Look (I think?!)

Skirt – Primark

Boots – Topshop

Hijab – Not sure – probably a little stall

Bag – Next

Lipstick – Rimmel 107 🙂

Blazer – New Look

And there we have it! I hope you enjoyed this post ladies :). I am now going to get ready to go to a new shopping centre that has just opened up (Ahh exciting :P).. And hopefully pick up some bits and bots that I need. I am not sure what I am getting up to for the rest of the weekend, but I will be taking some outfit photos, and thinking up new blog post ideas :). If you have anything that you want me to blog about, do let me know. By the way guys – I am looking to buy a better camera for my blog photos – any recommendations?

Right lovelies, hope you enjoy your Saturday.. I am over on twitter at @saira1816 if you want to say hello, and also on Instagram on throughtheglitterglass, if you want updates too!

Lots of love,

Saira xo

Hi dolls!

Hope you have all been very well! How has your week been so far? Have you also been experiencing crazy fog where you live? I know in the UK these past few days the fog has been SO THICK.. but I must admit I love the spookiness it gives ;). Speaking of spookiness, I hope you all had an amazing Halloween – although now that it is over, everyone’s main focus is definitely going to be Christmas! I literally cannot believe that it is almost the end of the year!

So… this is going to be a fashion post … I feel as though it has been SO long since my last outfit post, and I have definitely missed them. This outfit was actually from the PREVIOUS weekend – I guess I just had so many other posts planned (tehehe). Anyway, I think my next two posts are going to be fashion related, so I hope you don’t mind ;).

Now, as mentioned previously, these pictures were taken last weekend. Me and my husband decided to spend our Sunday at an industrial museum, where they have the most AMAZING displays ever, including old cotton mills/old terraced houses – as shown in the photos!

SAM_1987 SAM_1988 SAM_1992 SAM_1999

Now.. lets refer back to the title.. for those of you who have seen the film “Beetlejuice”, you will know why I have picked this title :P. If you have not, just google it – I am NOT saying I look similar to him (HAHA).. the over-sized shirt just reminded me of his suit. I picked the shirt up from a market (Oh, Saira what a surprise) – and I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on. It is such an elegant style, and only cost me £8 (woo!). I can also wear this unbuttoned as a “cardigan” – I am imagining with a midi skirt and a casual top! The stall also had it in blue and white, which I SO wished I picked up :(. Anyway .. there is always next time right? :). Onto the rest of the outfit, I paired the shirt with my sleeveless blazer (which my husband has now nicknamed “the witch jacket” – thanks for that -_-), my black jeggings, ankle boots and a black hijab. I finished off the look with red lipstick, for a little bit of colour!

SAM_2015 SAM_2025

We always come across a cat that wants to say hello! This one would not leave us alone – He actually wandered through the whole museum with us!

SAM_2031 SAM_2033 SAM_2034 SAM_2035

I also LOVE how autumnal these last pictures look – especially as all the trees will be bare soon!

So where we have it lovelies .. I ADORED this outfit so much, it is so modest and stylish at the same time (in my opinion). I think shirts like this are so versatile and definitely worth purchasing! They are great for layering too, as I can imaging myself wearing this when it gets colder, with an over-sized maxi cardigan and my fur scarf :). I think this look is quite smart too.. and you could definitely wear it to work!

I hope you like this outfit darlings! I have missed writing my fashion posts …. let me know if you guys like them too! I am still planning an “Essentials for a Hijabi/Modest Wardrobe” – I think it is so easy to incorporate modest fashion without investing in a whole new wardrobe, all you need are a few key pieces :).

So lovelies – I am now going to read the Glamour magazine (which I finally got my hands on!), catch up on this weekend’s X Factor, have a shower and then go to sleep! I also have work for the rest of the week, so I will try catch up on as many blogs as I can 🙂 Leave your links in the comments so I can have a read of yours! Have a lovely evening sweethearts, and I will see you in my next post!

Lots of Love,

Saira XO
