Spring Make-up Reviews!♥

Hey darlings!!♥

Well.. is it just me or does it feel like a while since I have been here? All I have done is dropped from 3 posts a week to 2 but I feel it makes SUCH a massive difference haha!!! I KNOW it would be WAY too much to take on 3 posts and 1 video a week…. alongside working full time HA!! I have been LOVING YouTube WAY too much though.. so make sure to be the AMAZING babes you are and check out/subscribe to my channel!!

SPEAKING OF YOUTUBE… If you watched my latest video then you will be expecting this post!!! AND I am SO SO excited to be writing it too.. as it is ALL about things I have been LOVING since buying them!! All the items are quite popular for Spring time too.. so I hope this will be a right good, informative post for all you beauty addicts! (ahem… myself included).

RIGHT ANGELS… Should we get right onto it… YES PLEASE!!♥

Make Up Revolution Golden Sugar Blush Palette♥

The first thing I am going to be babbling on about is the EVER so popular, Make Up Revolution Golden Sugar Blush Palette (um.. that is a right mouthful too!).. This had been on my wishlist for SO LONG.. and oh my.. can I just say how CHUFFED I am that I finally picked it up?!

SAM_4518

SAM_4530

(Mind the messy palette.. whoops)

The packaging is SO sleek.. and the fact that it has a HUGE mirror gives it instant brownie points with me (mirrors just make everything better right?). The actual palette itself is GORGEOUS.. and I LOVE that you get a lovely range of colours to experiment with, and not just a bunch of pink shades! The top row shades are PERFECT for highlighting and adding a lovely pink flush to your cheeks, and bottom row is perfect for bronzing up your skin! I LOVE the fact that you get a lovely mix of shimmery shades, and more subtle shades (the last 2 top and bottom shades on the right are PERFECT for a more subtle highlight and contour!

Top Row♥

SWATCHES 2

Bottom Row♥

SWATCHES

I think this palette is a MUST have for anyone who loves having a variety of face products in one place.. this will definitely be coming on holiday with me to give me that BEAUTIFUL glow! If you are not a fan of shimmery face/cheek products.. you may not get a lot of use out of this palette.. but I can assure you all the colours leave your skin with a lovely “sheen”, rather than chunks of glitter on your face (I don’t think I know ANYONE who is a fan of this!!). ALL IN ALL DARLINGS… spend the £6 and BUY THIS PALETTE.. it really has become an absolute STAPLE in my collection… AND I cannot wait to pick up more MUR cheek palettes (ahem, cream blush palette I am talking about you!).

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge♥

NEXT ITEM.. The Real Techniques Complexion Sponge! Oh this little angel.. I have been using this for around a week… and I can honestly see why so many people love using sponges/beauty blenders to apply their make-up. My make-up has NEVER looked so flawless.. yet natural at the same time!

SAM_4508

I use the sponge wet (just literally run it under the tap for 2 seconds and squeeze out any water!)… and apply my foundation directly to my face.. then start DABBING! It is so easy to use.. and really does such an amazing job at just blending your foundation into your skin so you have the loveliest, most natural looking base EVER! My ONLY negative (boo), is that it takes slightly longer than using my brushes… and my arm did slightly ache after dabbing quite a bit. HOWEVER.. I do not care (haha).. because my foundation has never looked better (and dare I say it seems to have lasted longer too.. eeek!). I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this Real Techniques sponge to ANYONE.. and, even though I was slightly apprehensive at first, would absolutely LOVE to invest in a beauty blender soon! This Real Techniques beauty will do fine for me for now! Now….I have to work out how I am going to deep clean it… any tips loves?

Collection Speedy Highlighter♥

Now.. onto my FAVOURITE HIGHLIGHTER at the moment… and that is.. The COLLECTION SPEEDY HIGHLIGHTER! Firstly… the price is AMAZING (the best £4 I have spent in a LONG time loves!).. secondly.. it is SO FOOL PROOF TO USE!! If you are a highlighting newbie (like me!!).. this is literally the perfect starting product for you. It is subtle.. yet buildable, has a beautiful pearly appearance, and is SO QUICK.. oh.. and you also don’t need to faff around with brushes either.. one quick sweep and YOU ARE DONE! This is a FAVE of mine.. and you HAVE to try it!

IMG_9929

Rimmel 08 & Revlon Matte Lip BalmRevlon Matte Lip Balm

Finally.. LIP PRODUCTS!!! Both of the lip products I picked up have literally become my favourite EVER. Both are SO affordable and long lasting!!! If you are a fan of matte lips (which I definitely am!)… you seriously need to try both of the these. The first is a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 08.. this is such a beautiful, rose pink/nude colour… and it has become a staple of mine for this season! I LOVE the Kate Moss lipsticks anyway.. so knew I would adore this lipstick. The second is the Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry Sulfureus … this is definitely more on the pink side compared to the Rimmel lipstick.. and looks SO gorgeous on your lips! It is a beautiful, matte, rose pink shade, and I have been obsessed with it!! Both these lipsticks last around 2-3 hours before I have to re-apply .. are SO easy to apply, and do not dry your lips out AT ALL! Although I would highly recommend scrubbing your lips with a sugar & vaseline scrub (or the Lush Lip Scrubs) every night and apply some lip balm! This ensures you have lovely smooth lips every day to apply your lipsticks to!

SO ANGELS… There you have reviews of my latest beauty purchases… I would 100% recommend every single product here.. I am so sure you will love them as much as me!!! Make sure to let me know if you have tried any of these darlings!

Right my loves… that is me done with this post! I really hope you enjoyed it.. and hopefully it helps some of you? I am such a massive lover of makeup from the drugstore and LOVE that it is so affordable.. as being a beauty blogger can sometimes be quite an expensive hobby (tehehe).. so finding little gems like all of these is amazing.

I cannot wait to see you all in my next post.. I know some fashion posts are SO overdue… so expect to see a few in a row (teheh).. I am hopefully (maybe) going to try my hand at filming Lookbooks, as well as some Vlogs (ha!) on my channel.. so make sure you are subscribed to my channel so you don’t miss those!!! Thank you SO SO MUCH for all your support lovelies… sending you all SO MUCH LOVE!! See you in my next one!

Lots of Love,

January Favourites♥

Hi darlings!!♥

Happy SATURDAY!! I cannot EVEN TELL YOU how excited I am that it is the weekend! I have felt SO tired this whole week.. and just wanted a few days to relax and do NOTHING.. (well … besides blogging :P). I went to bed SO early yesterday (for me anyway).. and woke up this morning feeling SO MUCH BETTER!! I had nothing planned for today .. so I just did some laundry, cleaned my car.. and now I AM BLOGGING WOOP! ALSO … we have had quite a bit of snow where I am! You guys know how much I LOVE winter.. but I really want it to be spring ASAP!

So loves…my week has consisted of working.. and also ATTENDING MY FIRST EVER BLOGGING EVENT! I was invited to the Neal’s Yard store in Leeds Victoria Quarter (the VERY FANCY shopping side of Leeds)… and I cannot even tell you how excited I was!!! Let me tell you .. as soon as I walked into the store.. it smelt ABSOLUTELY DIVINE (I found that this was thanks to the steam diffuser.. as the girl there explained to me .. I am SO sorry I never got her name!!). Anyway … It was such a lovely experience for my first event as there were not many bloggers there, so I didn’t feel overwhelmed. Sunayah (the girl that invited me) was SO friendly and really knew her stuff! I had a browse of the store, a chat with the bloggers, AND A FABULOUS HAND MASSAGE AFTER! The girls then gifted us with a goody bag containing lots of organic goodies.. AND a sample of their white tea mask (which I have tried and absolutely LOVED!).

Let me give you a little bit of information on Neal’s Yard products – they specialize in completely natural, organic skincare products and have a range of products for every single skin type out there! They also have a range of supplements AND herbal remedies… as well as a special range of items for mummy and baby!! I never really looked much into organic products before, but after having a good look around the Neal’s Yard store, I have a few items I desperately want to pick up, including THIS orange facial wash, the full size version of the White Tea mask, as well as the Honey and Orange scrub!!

So angels… I would HIGHLY recommend checking Neal’s Yard out … they are definitely a more luxury brand, but if you are looking to invest a little more into your skin (like me!!), then you will LOVE THEM!!

Check their site out HERE♥

Anyways …. lets get on with this post!! First things first.. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT IS THE END OF JANUARY! I don’t think my brain can quite register that it is February next week. I hope you have all had an amazing month though darlings?

Lets see what I have been loving this month ey?

January Faves.jpg

Lush♥

Ohhh what a surprise.. it’s Lush! I think Lush is a favourite of mine every month to be fair .. I am yet to buy anything from their Valentines range.. but it is definitely high on my list!! The bath bomb above is The Experimenter, and it is a FAVE of mine as I just ADORE looking at it, and it makes my room smell AMAZING (JUST LOOK AT ALL THE COLOURS!!).. It definitely would cheer me up when the weather was dull outside… OK HOW SAD DO I SOUND THAT A BATH BOMB MAKES ME HAPPY?!

Nivea Lip Butter in Macadamia & Vanilla♥

This little angel of a product is what has stopped me from having chapped lips in January .. BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS THAT RIGHT GIRLIES? This has definitely been my go to lip product.. I have stopped using Vaseline as it is SO much greasier (ew I hate that word!) than the Nivea lip balm! I absolutely LOVE the scent of this one too!!!

Make Up Revolution’s Highlighter in Golden Lights♥

OH MY WORD LOVELIES… This highlighter is just SO GORGEOUS. I have been such a huge lover of MUR’s products.. and as soon as I saw the highlighter.. I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT. Not to mention… its 3 POUNDS! It gives your cheeks the most gorgeous sheen EVER!! I recommend it highly for those who are just starting to use highlighter.. it is SO easy to use (I am still a newbie and cannot get enough of it!!).

My Diary♥

This diary from Paperchase has been an absolute LIFE SAVER this month .. it has helped keep me organized AND is the perfect size for my handbag!! My lovely bloggers… if you don’t already, GET YOURSELF A DIARY NOW!!

SAM_3378.JPG

Rimmel’s Wake Me Up Concealer♥

THIS baby has helped me look SO awake in the mornings this month! I cannot believe I have gone without it for SO long… it is just SO easy to apply, lasts all day, and is SUPER cheap. You can actually see my full review HERE!

Maybelline Super Stay 24H Setting Spray♥

THIS. Oh my… it has been the BEST product I have used this whole month. I am such a massive lover of setting sprays … and this Maybelline one is SO AMAZING. Although my Estee Lauder foundation has fabulous staying power.. I still have an oily T-Zone when I come home :(. Since I have been using this setting spray.. I have noticed that my makeup looks ALMOST as good as when I left in the morning (let’s be honest, I have my make-up on from 7AM to 6PM – NO product will keep it looking EXACTLY the same for that long!). This product has become a MUST for me every morning.. it definitely has helped my make up stay put AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.. I don’t have the awful shininess I used to get! My make up also just feels “in place”, and not tacky, if that makes sense?? Quick Tip – I have read quite a few reviews from people saying this left white spots over their face.. I have NEVER experienced this .. I give it a good shake before I put it on.. maybe this has helped?

SAM_3385.JPG

Pom Pom Key-ring from LYDC*♥

I ADORE this pom pom … whichever bag I am using for the day .. I ALWAYS swap my little pom pom key-ring onto it! My bags feel BARE without it! It is SUCH a adorable accessory to have!!

SAM_3389

Doll White Teeth Whitening Strips*♥

I was lucky enough to receive these from Doll White.. and can honestly say THEY ARE AMAZING!! Having white teeth is SO important to me.. so when I received these I was SO excited to try them!! I have almost used them for the full seven days .. and have noticed a definite difference in my teeth! I also LOVE the fact that they are peroxide free.. so I didn’t notice that awful, sensitive feeling in my teeth after using them! They also left my mouth feeling so minty afterwards (YAY!!). I highly recommend them lovelies.. and know these will definitely be my choice of whitening strips in future!

LYDC Iridescent Purse*♥

I have had SO many compliments from people when I pull this little purse out.. and I can see why! It is the perfect size to fit in all my bags, and has become my little life saver (as I now store all my everyday make-up essentials/girly products in there!!).

MAC’s Creme Cup♥

I recently re-discovered this lipstick in my collection – I know I will have to put my dark lipsticks away soon *cries* (Ok.. I probably will STILL wear dark lipsticks ha!.. but I think lighter colours are suitable for the coming spring months!). I forgot how much I LOVE Mac lipsticks .. Creme Cup is a gorgeous, pinky nude colour, and is also a creamsheen formula. I have LOVED it this month.. and also know I will wear it SO much in the next few months!

SAM_3392.JPG

Magnitone BareFaced Face Brush*♥

I had to feature this in my January favourites.. I may have only been using it for a week.. but OH MY GOSH GUYS.. I have noticed SUCH a difference straight away! It is SO easy and quick to use, makes me skin feel SO soft AND polished. No joke loves.. I literally feel like I have had a facial every time I use it. In fact.. I love it THAT MUCH .. I will be doing a WHOLE post on it (Yayy!!!)… so make sure you stay tuned for that lovelies!!

Magnitone Bix

SAM_3441

WOW.. Now that was A LOT of favourites this month!! It has definitely been a BUSY month.. both blogging wise and in my life! I got my marriage registered, went to my first blogger event, worked with some amazing brands/people…. I honestly CANNOT wait for February. I am actually going to ANOTHER blogging event in February .. this one is in LONDON (eeeeeek!!!).. I am LITERALLY SO EXCITED! I also have some time off work.. so am excited for that!!

Right loves… hope you have a fabulous Saturday evening… I think I am just having a chilled one at home, catching up on blogs and emails (as you do :P). Are you getting up to anything fun? Let me know how your week has been! I will see you in my next post loves!

LOTS OF LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU ALL!

Birds in Bolton

Evening loves!

How has your week been? Hope you have had a good one! I have had a busy few days .. and honestly cannot wait for the weekend now.. two days of lazing around in my PJ’s! The past few days I have been at work, and then had a few quick trips to the new shopping centre to pick up some make up items I needed.. Which include a new BERRY TONED lipstick (Yes I finally got one), and the best smelling hand cream 🙂 .. all of which will be blogged about soon!

So this blog post will feature some new items that I showed in my previous post.. the beautiful dress from H&M and the gorgeous brown boots from Primark! Now I actually saw this dress a few weeks back in H&M, and I fell in love instantly.. but they didn’t have my size (boo!). As soon as I saw it this weekend, I grabbed it :D. I had the perfect outfit in my head: featuring the dress, my fur gilet, warm black tights, brown boots/brogues and a navy hijab!

SAM_2321 SAM_2327 SAM_2335

I love how this dress looks on, and the fact that it has long sleeves too, meaning I don’t have to wear a cardigan over, or a long sleeve top underneath :). I have also just been loving wearing my fur gilet over EVERYTHING, so of course this had to be worn :D. I thought I would break the outfit up a little with some brown boots, rather than black. The navy hijab was also perfect with this look, and just tied it all together. I wore Rimmel 107 on my lips, and my usual make up!

I wore this outfit on Sunday .. when we actually went to Bolton for the day! It was just a last minute thing, but we ended up having a lovely time :). We went to a local museum, and then got some food! Now, speaking of food… the amount of crappy food I had this weekend was RIDICULOUS. I am normally good on the weekends, and treat myself to one takeaway, however this weekend I had FOUR takeways (eeeek!). I am having a detox this week though :P.

SAM_2340 SAM_2342 SAM_2345 SAM_2346

The museum was so much fun! It actually had an aquarium and a library in it too :). I love visiting museums in different cities.. I feel like you can learn so much from them… they really are not as boring as some people may think (hehe ;P).. you should try spending an afternoon in one .. you might be surprised :D.SAM_2352 SAM_2354

So there is my outfit for the day.. I am so in love with this dress, and will be going back to H&M to see if they have more prints! It was an absolute bargain at £14.99 too! This outfit is a great Autumn/Winter outfit .. I wore a long sleeved top underneath as I didn’t wear a coat.. so wanted to make sure I stayed warm.

I hope you like this outfit lovelies! Now, I just wanted to update you all on what has been happening with me (I really feel like my blog posts are a diary!).. I am in the process of (hopefully) getting a new car! If all goes well.. I should have it in the next few weeks.. which I am so excited about! Also, I am SO excited for I’m  a Celebrity to start .. please tell me someone else watches this?! I also am loving getting to know so many other bloggers through Twitter chats .. I find them so much fun and think it is such a good way to network! I am also going to be buying a new camera soon .. Mine just about does the job, but it is starting to get unresponsive :(. I said to myself if I am serious about blogging, then I will invest in a new camera.. so will do my research and get some recommendations from all you lovely lot!

I think that is enough of an update .. I just want to thank all you wonderful people for following my blog, taking the time out to read it, and leaving me such lovely comments. I feel so happy when I read them everyday, and honestly wish I could meet every single one of you! I also love seeing familiar names on my blog, Twitter and Instagram :). A Day Spent in Holmfirth

Happy Saturday loves!

Hope you have all had a lovely week :). Mine, as usual was spent working and blogging! Yesterday (Friday night), we normally have a takeaway night in, but we actually decided to go out for dinner for a change which is always nice! I actually felt so tired after, and ending sleeping as soon as we got home (whoops!), and woke up at around 11:30pm (crazy Friday night I know :P). I then stayed up for a while and caught up on some blogs, then went back to bed! As I am sure you all know, napping at that time is never a good idea – and resulting in me waking up at 5:30am on Saturday morning, not being able to go back to sleep! So here I am… writing a blog post 🙂

So.. this is going to be a fashion/life catch up post – updating you guys on what I got up to last weekend, and showing my outfit! Now, I am the type of person who loves finding new, cute places to explore, and living in Yorkshire, there are definitely plenty of little villages to have a wander round! So, we googled a few places, and drove on!

We actually ended up in a village called Holmfirth, which ended up being SUCH  a beautiful, picturesque place. It had SO many little shops and cafes, and was surrounded by the gorgeous countryside! The first shop we went into was AMAZING! It was hidden in a little corner near the canal, and was a vintage furniture shop (I have already decided that when we buy a house I want to buy ALL of my furniture from there).

SAM_2222 SAM_2223 SAM_2225

SAM_2226

I am a lover of all things vintage, so love going in to shops like this, as well as charity shops and boot sales (where you can always find something special!)

We then drove to the actual village of Holmfirth, and had a mooch around the shops there (which I must say were just as amazing!) – and then found the cutest little cafe to have some lunch in!

SAM_2230 SAM_2231

I had a hot chocolate and some homemade crepes, which were SO GOOD. My mum also ordered an amazing platter, which came with 3 bean salsa, hummus, salad and some pitta bread. It was so yummy – I cannot recommend this little cafe enough. The lady that worked there was one of the nicest people I have ever met, and she was so welcoming – I will definitely be visiting it again. The cafe is called “En Route” Cafe – if you are ever around the Holmfirth area, I suggest popping in for a coffee and cake :). At the time, it was also decorated amazingly for Halloween/Autumn, so I can only imagine it will look beautiful around Christmas time :D.

SAM_2258 SAM_2259 SAM_2265 SAM_2267

We then went for a walk around the countryside, a quick drive around the village, before heading back home! It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday – we are going to try and make this a weekly thing, as it is always lovely to venture out into a city/village you have never been and see what it has to offer!

So.. onto the outfit itself.. On Saturday, I had a quick shopping trip, and picked up the most beautiful midi skirts from Primark (I will feature my purchases in my next blog post). I am a huge fan of midi skirts – although a few years back I did not dare wear them as I though I looked like a business women (I blame my age at the time :P). Now that I am slightly older (and wiser, tehehe), I think they are an amazing piece to have in your wardrobe. They definitely add an elegant look to an outfit, but I also will be pairing it with a graphic tee and some converse on casual days!

SAM_2240 SAM_2246 SAM_2247 SAM_2249 SAM_2252 SAM_2281

The skirt is in the most beautiful burgundy shade, and is knitted too! I prefer this so much for the colder months, compared to the standard cotton style. I paired it with my fuzzy jumper which you have seen before (I loved the mix of textures), some black ankle boots, and a patterned hijab. As it got colder later on, I added my over-sized blazer. I wore Rimmel 107 on my lips, and my usual winged liner!

SAM_2279 SAM_2283 SAM_2298

Top – New Look (I think?!)

Skirt – Primark

Boots – Topshop

Hijab – Not sure – probably a little stall

Bag – Next

Lipstick – Rimmel 107 🙂

Blazer – New Look

And there we have it! I hope you enjoyed this post ladies :). I am now going to get ready to go to a new shopping centre that has just opened up (Ahh exciting :P).. And hopefully pick up some bits and bots that I need. I am not sure what I am getting up to for the rest of the weekend, but I will be taking some outfit photos, and thinking up new blog post ideas :). If you have anything that you want me to blog about, do let me know. By the way guys – I am looking to buy a better camera for my blog photos – any recommendations?

Right lovelies, hope you enjoy your Saturday.. I am over on twitter at @saira1816 if you want to say hello, and also on Instagram on throughtheglitterglass, if you want updates too!

Lots of love,

Saira xo
